I was skeptical about this place because how rural it is, but I am very grateful I gave it a try. Great healthy food with a small variety of options. Atmosphere is welcoming and warm. I feel like I got some of the most unique New Mexican Mexican food on my trip out here.

First of all let me tell you… I am always on the quest for the perfect fish taco and I am always sorely disappointed. The best one I ever had was made at home by someone who knew what they were doing (not me!). That is until today. THE PERFECT FISH TACOS omg. I devoured them. I’d do a lot of things to taste those again. I just happened to be passing through and it was the best decision. The service was amazing, the waiter was superb and attentive. I cannot recommend this place enough! It’s a gem for sure : )

This place is terrific! We walked in right before they closed (I know, I know) and asked if we could still get a meal, and they said absolutely. The food was wonderful- we got steak tacos, shrimp tacos and the California quesadillas. Fresh, delicious, and so well prepared, with a really nice attention to detail. The waitress was kind and friendly, too!

Incredible place. The food was the best quesadillas I have ever had. There is so much flavor in the California Quesadillas, I wish they made them like that in Texas! The staff was so nice, accommodating, and welcoming, they allowed us to seat our dog on the patio & even brought him treats! I will definitely be back!

Glad I did. We went on a saturday 1•11 positive energy, new beginnings...to try this place out for the first time. Vibes... Great artist work, paintings and bright colors, nothing dull here. Great selection on the menu. Abiqui has about half a dozen places to grab a bite to eat, Cafe Sierra Negra is a great stop, health oriented and has a wide selection of beverages as well. Wait was not long, food was hot and tasty. I ordered the Poblano Relleno, our 'substitute' server was generally nice also. Indoor and outdoor seating...next to the hwy.

This is a northern New Mexico gem. Being our first visit we were encouraged to try the fish tacos. They were excellent. We will be back for sure.

The best cafe in New Mexico hands down. Friendly, warm and inviting. On my second visit, I got a Delicious cappuccino, and the oatmeal and cranberry cookies-dynamite!! I love this place & the energy. I was looking for a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle and they provided it. Thank you

Natalie our waitress greeted us opening the door and then went beyond in finding a serviceable espresso machine, and offering different versions of root beer to my partner. The food was delicious… I had the blackened fish tacos, a perfect latte. Their eclectic playlist created a beautiful relaxed atmosphere with guitar, sitar, Middle East, 60’s. The owners husband‘s artwork created an overall sense of colorful folk art. Highest recommendation!
